Design circumstances of Indonesia


	The design promotion has been helped for three months from September to November, 2001 in Ministry of Industry and Trade(Indonesia). The design promotion support to Indonesia started by the Japan Design Foundation in 1994, and design center (Pusat Desain Nasional) was set up in 1996. At this time, construction and various promotion tools of the plan and the Internet connection of the Indonesian the 1st Good Design Selection business were produced.
	PDN started under the small and medium enterprise cooperative society ministry. It was transferred to Ministry of Industry and Trade in May, 2001 afterwards and it upped and about doing. Indonesia　Design circumstances of Cirebon

It has acted from February to March, 2003 in Cirebon Prefecture Industrial Bureau for the rattan furniture industry promotion of Indonesia.
Cirebon will be located from Jakarta to the east with the train in about three hours and be located by the car in about five hours.

The rattan of 85% in the world is produced in Indonesia, and the many are processed to furniture with Cirebon.
There is an enterprise big and small about 930 in Cirebon, and about 18000 containers a year are exported all over the world.
It is the world's largest rattan furniture home though is not known so much.

Cirebon prospered originally as relay ground where the rattan deforested on the Kalimantan island and the Sulawesi island was exported, and came to process the material to furniture etc. gradually.
